Trump 2.0, Unprecedented Reform or Retribution?
So, in case you missed the memo, despite the barrage of charges, lawfare, and political/character attacks that twice President-elect Trump has experienced in recent years, somehow, using sheer will and grit, he has managed to do something that only one other U.S. President has ever done nearly a century ago and that is to win an election, and lose the next one, and then come back to win the following one. The latter is as nearly impossible as it can get folks. It takes both a marketing genius, and someone with unthinkable self-confidence to so accomplish. In other words, out of 3 times that he ran for the U.S. Presidency post (something that only 45 other human beings have ever done), he won nearly 70% of the time. Even that stat is UNBELIEVABLE in and of itself. YES, I did predict it, and know it would more likely happen against yet another first Democrat female nomination and I must say that this one must really sting for the DEMs, but they were running against a desperate and formidable foe who I have studied over the past 4 decades. I will chat about the DEMS later on in this article.
But back to our main topic here. Is Trump going to be RETRIBUTORY/RETALIATORY or REFORMATORY?
We all have reasons to be concerned (including yours truly), especially considering the fact that most Human-beings do tend to seek some form of revenge on those who have previously attacked them. And to be CANDID, TRUMP was brutally attacked from all angles by the DEMs... And even as a Black man, I was taking blows for him too... and often I was like WOW, that's a LOW BLOW smiling). And we all know that Trump's true nature is to fight back and hit his opponents even harder than they had hit him. And to be candid, while I would hope that he would take the high road for the sake of the country itself, the temptation for retribution may prove to be too hard to overcome for a man of his caliber... he is WIRED to fight back... he is like the MIKE TYSON of BUSINESS/POLITICS. In essence, he fights to DESTROY his opposition.
So, right about now, he is thinking.... "THIS IS MY IS MOMENT TO SHINE... and my moment TO STICK IT TO THEM..."
So, the answer is that TRUMP 2.0 will more likely be a combination of BOTH unprecedented reform and retribution...
Thus far, my discernment seems to be on point. I can't think of two figures that are both INNOVATIVE and LOGICALLY EFFECTIVE as VIVEK and MUSK and to have them run his EFFICIENCY DEPARTMENT is rather unprecedented and a blessing for the country at large. However, his selection of the fiery GAETZ as Attorney General, who like him, was MUGSHOTTED or ARRESTED or CHARGED is the truest indication of his DEFIANCE to stick it to the DEMs or the GOVERNMENT at large. His message is clear, "I don't care about what you think about me and my agenda at all and will do exactly the opposite of what you would have liked me to do especially if it will help me achieve my political goals and/or vision for this country." In other words, his form of retribution will mostly be symbolic yet very effective, just like his 2024 campaign was. GAETZ is sharp, flamboyant, controversial, effective and has had a history of being brutal with CIVIL RIGHTS LEADERS (e.g., Al Sharpton) or DEMs and WOKESTERS at large. To be candid, even I was amazed by this pick. I mean, I can't think of anyone with as much ICE running through his veins like GAETZ does. There is a reason why many of his admin picks are out of Florida. He's clearly made Florida his political Headquarters with the backing of the anti-woke Florida governor, plus Marco Rubio (another pick) not to mention Byron Donalds out of Southwest Florida.
The message is clear, this time around, he is not longer a POLITICAL NOVICE/HACK. In fact, like a SURGEON, using as little empathy as he humanly could, he has changed the political landscape for both the DEMs and Republicans, by convincingly winning over the DEMs and practically humiliating them in areas in which they would historically win, and getting rid of the GOP old guards with his incredible MAGA Movement. Truly, he pulled off AN IMPOSSILBE MISSION, something that only someone with UNIQUE CHARACTER TRAIT and UNCHARACTERISTIC BUSINESS EXPERIENCE could have done. It is the UNDERDOG mentality... allowing him to constantly desiring to pull off the impossible and prove to other that he is not only smarter than they believe he is, but also smarter than they are as well. It probably stemmed from a CHILDHOOD DISAPPOINTMENT that he had to overcome and from which he determined to NEVER GIVE UP and to FIGHT unapologetically until he WINS. And like him or not, at least the latter is an enviable trait.
The DEMs were in trouble this political season. Clearly BIDEN failed them on many levels and TRUMP did a great job HIGHLIGHTING them and during the debate, Trump's uncanny reactions to BIDEN's FAUX-PAS was the upper-cut that induced the selection of KAMALA, who previously ran probably the worst presidential campaign that has never been run and probably had the worst record among her peers. Selecting her alone for the NOMINATION, without her actually earning it, got the GOP to name her the DEI presidential candidate (i.e., she only got it based on her minority or gender status.) And in some ways, they are somewhat right. While she has great credentials, she always lacked appeal and after all if HILLARY CLINTON could not pull it off as a woman, for goodness sake, the DEMs needed to find a real fighter to confront TRUMP, the new MIKE TYSON of politics. And that they could not come up with. While Kamala did give a touching Nomination Acceptance speech, her confusion around RACE (i.e., Black, South Indian, both and blah blah blah) induced things that could have been strength to quite frankly become mere distractions. In short, she just did not have what it takes to beat a BULLDOG like TRUMP. And the results speak for themselves. YES... perhaps the country is not as ready as it thought it was to elect its first female president, but it has proven that it can with a guy with a funny African name like Obama, who sounded both Black and Muslim and probably more Muslim and he got elected after 9/11. Think about it. Thus, Americans deserve some credit for that.
I believe that America is able to elect THE RIGHT FEMALE CANDIDATE, who will have a blend of CLASS, FRESH IDEAS, and a VISION that will make her a GREAT LEADER who just happens to be a woman, but not someone who will use her gender or race to win empathy and the election.
But back to PRESIDENT-ELECT TRUMP... This is HIS MOMENT TO SHINE. And quite frankly He Deserves IT. And you don't think he does, you're either ENVIOUS or a HATER. He fought hard and he is a VICTOR. PERIOD.

Whether you like him or not, if you care about America, he is now YOUR PRESIDENT too... and despite his past faux-pas and your disagreements with him on his approaches to many things, this time HE WON FAIR and SQUARE! In fact, he nearly turned the whole country RED. And the latter was also nearly an impossible feat under the circumstances or considering the barrage of LAWFARE that he politically faced quite recently. In a nutshell, it was an IMPRESSIVE WIN!
And now... with a RARE AND COMPLETE CONTROL of CONGRESS (i.e., the Senate and House of Representatives) and a VERY FAVORABLE or GOP-FRIENDLY U.S. Supreme Court, and with the AID of amazing brains like VIVEK, MUSK, and a FIERY ATTORNEY GENERAL like GAETZ and the support of MAGA republicans, Mr. TRUMP might has well be KING OF THE WORLD.
So, Welcome to the DONALD TRUMP SHOW 2.0! I know who he is.... I studied him when he was a young man in New York and know that he is NEVER as bad as people think he is. But like a SURGEON he does lack empathy when it comes to accomplishing his goals. He likes to induce people to feel both FEARFUL and CONCERNED and is not afraid to CUT TIES or FIRE PEOPLE. And undoubtedly he is both UNPREDICTIBLE and PREDICTIBLE at times, and what keeps his opponents puzzled is that they never know which TRUMP is coming at them and that my friend is a sign of a TRUE POLITICAL MAVERICK. He practically dismantled many political dynasties (e.g., BUSH, CLINTON, OBAMA) to declare himself THE KING... believe it or not, he did not want to be NASTY, DISAGREEABLE, and UNEMPATHETIC on many occasions, but he's got a lot of GUTS and willingness to do whatever it takes to win. And if you're a parent, you should only wish to believe you can raise a child with THAT MUCH SELF-CONFIDENCE and RESOLVE.
TRUMP WON because he did something that most politicians don't do. Most politicians are ELITISTS who think that they know what people care about or need the most. TRUMP, like most Americans, is sort of ANTI-GOVERNMENT (at least the government of old) and his issues with the government are not meritless. IMMIGRATION was a neglected issue, and so was inflation and trade inefficiencies. And unlike the DEMs who focused more on WOKENESS issues (e.g., transgender matters), TRUMP focused on the bread-and-butter issues and POUNCED ON WOKENESS (e.g., men in women's sports, or boys in girls bathrooms, and of course who can forget his immigration themed "they are eating the dogs, cats or pets of the people in Springfield"). He knew that many of that stuff was fluff, but he is a marketing genius and knew how much Americans care about their pets... some love their pets even more than their kids... and some don't have kids at all only to have PETS... Thus, he used his extreme languages to appeal to larger concerns. Again that is straight from his BUSINESS EXPERIENCE. Something that most POLITICIANS don't have. Additionally, yet AGAIN, "It was about THE ECONOMY STUPID" as the saying goes. (Smile.) TRUMP has always talked about the need for GOVERNMENT REFORMS even as a young man in NYC, and he is 100% right, the government has been ARCHAIC, INEFFICIENT and DULL and just maybe with the help of GENIUSES like MUSK, VIVEK, VANCE and others he should be able to give AMERICA the TUNE-UP that it has so much needed. And GUESS WHAT, even his haters will end up being beneficiaries too and in that WAY, he will have made AMERICA GREATER! A guy like him has always been needed. A political maverick to which the political elite would have to throw the towel, albeit after attempting to DESTROY HIM. YES, he also had to be WHITE and WEALTHY to win (because no minority member would have survived the type of attacks he endured, including conspiration-centric lawfare that the political elite of both parties through), but being WHITE comes with its PROs and CONs too. He could have easily accepted the RACIST label and die away. But he is a winner, and never allowed the semantics to become destructive to him. AU CONTRAIRE, he used them they FUELED him to fight harder.
He is BRAVE. He fought against what would have destroyed just about any human being. He is a VICTOR / WINNER. America is a country of WINNERS... not a COUNTRY OF WHIMPS. TRUMP is a WINNER and despite his flaws, he is GOOD for AMERICA because AMERICA should remain the land of THE FREE and THE HOME OF THE BRAVE! He sees this as a MANDATE. He was doing great until COVID-19 hit, I'm sure GOD / NATURE realized that he deserved a chance to UNBURDEN us by what had been burdening us for way too long. Only the undiscerning will believe that there is no divine or natural intervention in our horizons. The birds know when to migrate. THINK ABOUT IT. They have no PhD and certainly NO GPS! Listen to the GOD / INTUITION / COMMON SENSE in you. And FIGHT HARD for what you desire. That was the message shared to us by Mr. Trump this POLITICAL SEASON and of course, do you best to WIN as often as you can. It's good for the SOUL (smile)! And if you don't think that is ATTRACTIVE, then perhaps you have forgotten what AMERICA stands for.
